Continuing Education Hours:
12 hours every two (2) years, or 6 hours every year.  Licensees may earn up to three (3) hours per      year by self-study, audio, video, internet-based, or other activity as long as the licensee passes a test on the materials as evidenced by a certificate of completion.
The Montana Board of Funeral Service does not pre-approve continuing education courses or sponsors   (except for those approved by rule).  It is the responsibility of licensees to select courses which meet   the criteria set forth in the CE rules of the Board.  Upon completion of courses, licensees must apply to the Board for CEU/course approval by completing an application

Carryover Hours:
You are permitted to carryover 6 CE hours every renewal period 
Exemptions - 1st year licensee 
There is never a charge for additional certificates for each state of licensure.
